It only takes a few minutes to reach the sun-drenched high plateau of the Merano 2000 hiking area above the town by cable car. Once you’ve arrived at the plateau, a world of possibilities opens up, from leisurely walks to conquering summits on via ferrata routes, not to mention the thrill of paragliding. This family-friendly hiking area has something for everyone, with well-signposted trails of varying difficulty levels, authentic mountain huts and designated cycle routes.
